About our burial services
Choosing a burial is a deeply personal way to honour your loved one, offering a traditional and meaningful farewell. Many families appreciate the opportunity to create a ceremony that reflects the life, values, and wishes of the person they are remembering. At Idyllic Funerals, we approach every funeral with care and sensitivity, guiding you through each step of the process.
We offer two types of burial services to suit the needs of each family: a simple direct burial, and a burial with a service. Whichever option feels right for you, our funeral arrangers will help create a heartfelt farewell, taking care of every detail, from selecting the perfect coffin and flowers to arranging headstones if required.
We respect all cultural and spiritual traditions and provide flexibility in how and where a service can take place. Whether you choose a chapel, place of worship, surf club, golf club, park, beach, or even your own home, we’ll help create a meaningful setting that reflects your loved one’s life and wishes.

Funeral Service with Burial
A full funeral service followed by burial. Cemetery plot, grave digging fees and related costs are not included — these are paid directly to the cemetery.

*If you’re considering a Simple Farewell, it’s worth checking with your chosen venue that they’re comfortable having a coffin present. Most are happy to accommodate this, and we can help guide you through the conversation.

Your Funeral Director in Sydney
Hi, I’m Matt. After 20 years in finance, the loss of a dear friend changed everything. I realised I wanted to do work that truly mattered – work that supported people through one of life’s hardest moments and honoured each life in a personal, authentic way.
I left the corporate world and retrained as a funeral director and celebrant in Sydney. Today I work closely with families to create farewells that feel genuine, warm, and true to the person being remembered.
I believe a funeral doesn’t have to be gloomy to be meaningful. It can be a space for comfort, connection, and even moments of lightness – the stories, the music, the details that remind us of who someone truly was.
