Burial services in Sydney start from $7,417.90 (incl GST) when arranged with a complete funeral service. These prices don’t include the cost of the plot itself or the opening and closing fees. Costs of burial plots in Sydney range from $5,500 to $35,000.

Burial plots are often pre-purchased as part of end-of-life planning. If needed, we can handle the process for you, including arranging a headstone through a local stonemason, with pricing based on material and size.

We respect all cultural and spiritual beliefs and offer a variety of venues for the ceremony and wake. In addition to traditional spaces like places of worship and crematorium chapels, we also support alternative venues such as surf clubs, golf clubs, parks, beaches, or even home funerals.

Direct Burial

Direct burials provide a simple, private farewell with no attendees, offering families a dignified and minimalistic way to honour their loved one. A memorial service may be arranged at a later date.

We will transfer the deceased from the place of death to the crematorium. This price is for a weekday transfer; weekend rates apply for transfers on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Mortuary care includes nightly storage at $60 per night, preparation of the deceased starting from $200, and a coffin name plate at $20. The deceased’s stay at the mortuary can vary from one night, through to many weeks, depending upon the individual circumstance.

We will organise the transfer, meeting with the family to complete documentation, coordinating with external suppliers, registering the death with The Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages, delivering the ashes back to the family.

Price for a Richmond standard MDF coffin; prices vary depending on choice of make and model, starting from $160 for a Daisy Box, environmentally friendly cardboard coffin.

It may include a funeral service followed by the burial graveside service, or in some cases, the graveside service may take place first, with a memorial service held at a later date. Families choosing burial services in Sydney have the flexibility to create a farewell that best honours their loved one’s wishes and traditions.

A professional celebrant is an integral part of the funeral process. They will meet the family, learn the story of the deceased, their life and loves; then craft a personalised funeral ceremony, delivered on the day. This typically takes 10-12 hours’ work. This helps the family and the community to honour and celebrate their person, mourn their death so they can heal and rejuvenate.

This cost is the minimum one could expect to pay for a service venue. Service venues can vary greatly, from a surf club, a community centre, a park, a family home, or a place of worship, through to a crematorium chapel.

Funeral staff numbers on the day, vary depending on the needs of the venue, as well as forecast attendance. Price is for one staff member for 2 hours.

Additional Services

This cost is the minimum one could expect to pay for opening and closing of the grave. Often this is paid directly to the cemetery by the family.

Can include a coffin splash, floral arrangements, single stem flowers, floral tributes such as wreaths etc.
These can be black and white or colour, multiple pages.
Photo tribute slideshows and music are important parts of a funeral ceremony. Our professional designers will curate all the photos, videos and music and build a beautiful presentation for playing on the day.
Professional live streaming creates a beautiful experience for family and friends to easily be part of such an important moment from afar. High quality cameras and microphones discreetly capture all the important details using a variety of creative shots and angles. A recording of the funeral is available to watch later plus it can be downloaded and kept as a treasured tribute.

Can be either a funeral or death notice, both digital and print. Can be submitted to newspapers of the family’s choice.

In the instance of a religious ceremony, clergy would replace the celebrant.

Some venues have in-house caterers. For venues that don’t, we have a range of professional catering companies to choose from.

Generally, the family deals directly with the cemetery when purchasing the burial plot.

We have a range of urn suppliers to choose from.

This entails one night’s stay at the mortuary, basic preparation of the body, viewing room hire, and an additional transfer fee from the mortuary to the crematorium.

A refrigerated cooling plate to lay underneath the deceased, keeping them cool for a home vigil.

A non-medical companion, who provides emotional, social and spiritual support to the dying, and to those around them. They help open up the conversation about death and loss and on a more practical level, they will provide company if/when the family needs to take breaks, or help set up a community support system.
